Bolton draws Fulham; Stu Holden nearly scores first Premier League goal

Bolton has opened the 2010-11 Premier League season with a 0-0 draw versus Fulham, a match that saw Stuart Holden nearly score his first professional goal in England.

Holden started in central midfield for Bolton and played the full 90 minutes. Holden signed with Bolton in January 2010 but only played in three of Bolton’s matches last year due to injuries. Today was his first start and he nearly rewarded the manager when his shot hit the post in the 78th minute.

The Wanderers will return to action next Saturday when they travel to play West Ham United.
