“Bowling with Stu” is set for Sunday, Dec. 20 at Palace Lanes in Houston. Fans are able to sign-up now at the following website www.signmeup.com/67495
The cost is $75 per person. Groups of four will receive their own lane and a discounted rate of $250. Each person will also receive a catered dinner and a limited edition Stuart Holden scarf.

About This Event
“Bowling with Stu” is a fundraiser staged by Stuart Holden to benefit “Holden’s Heroes.” Participants in this event will bowl with friends and family while also mingling with Stuart and some of his teammates. Each person will receive a limited edition, first-ever Stuart Holden scarf. There will also be dozens of items on the silent auction including authentic, game-worn jerseys and cleats. Each person will receive unlimited bowling for three hours and the event will be catered by a local restaurant. Bring your camera and items to be signed. Stuart will be autographing throughout the event.

Stuart was recognized by the MLS for his charitable efforts by receiving a nomination for the prestigious Jefferson Award. He is currently one of the 10 finalists in the country with the other finalists coming from other sports.

Silent Auction
We will have a Silent Auction for at least 25 different items including many pieces from Stuart Holden’s personal collection (jerseys, cleats, shirts, etc.). There will be auction items that fit all budgets.

“Stu’s Shoes”
Stuart Holden has set a goal to collect 500 pairs of shoes for charity at this event. Every person in attendance is encouraged to donate at least two pairs of lightly-worn shoes. These shoes will be cleaned and then donated to Star of Hope Mission to help Houston’s homeless. Each participant will receive an entry into a special drawing for each pair of shoes that they donate. The winner of the drawing will receive lunch or dinner with Stuart Holden.

Stu – Saw your interview with my friend Sibila Vargas this morning on Fox. Congratulations and thank you for all you do in the Houston area and for children with your charity; congrats on your nomination on the Jefferson Award. As a Jefferson Award recipient myself it would be great to connect and raise awareness of Holden’s Heros and other charities I support. I will try to make it out on Sunday. I hope that we can connect at some point.
